Toys! (Well, it didn't say "no photos", and I'd actually had to go hunting for someone to sell me a ticket to get in...) The small army of wooden people are Kokeshi - your simple wooden doll. The smaller red guys at the front are Daruma - a combination of papier-mache weeble, good-luck charm, and task-reminder. The museum is stacked with clutter, including a record-breaking spinning top (Something over an hour, in 1987. 90cm diameter, mind you).
