Jidai Matsuri: The Shogun's deputy didn't have to throw any battle-mops, he got carried in somewhat cramped accommodation. Here the porters take a breather, having hauled this thing several kilometers. To the right is a road junction, where traffic is being allowed to cross the parade. Meanwhile the parade bunches up here in a holding pattern, prior to proceeding past the reserved seating to the Heian shrine, some way off to the left.
