The TV weather forecast on the evening before I travelled to Kyoto, with typhoon #23 incoming, and the news full of typhoon-related disasters in Shikoku. (Kyoto, to save those without the geography from backtracking to the map, is roughly in the middle of the red "fast wind" circle, and Shikoku's the island where the typhoon made landfall). It's due to pass Tokyo sometime in the middle of the night. Sweet dreams.
